My Approach

My practice is largely influenced by a Client-Centred Approach and Feminist Therapy. My aim is to collaborate with clients to foster a deeper understanding of self and encourage personal growth in such a way that they can expand their perspectives and realize their larger potential. I draw from many other therapeutic approaches and modalities based on what aligns with my client’s needs. When working with teens, I engage collaboratively with parents/caregivers as they play a major role in the client’s life.

I specialize in the areas of trauma, sexual violence, and sports psychology. My experience of working within homes, schools, various organizations, and private practices have allowed me to build competence in these areas.

Individual counselling is a great way to engage in the process of strengthening yourself and your resources. To explore how the experiences in your life have impacted you, can help you to grow as an individual and allow you to engage with the people and commitments in your life in a more authentic way. Sometimes the experiences that we have can cloud the strengths and inner resources that we possess and with counselling we can clear some of that cloudiness and makes sense of it to uncover and rediscover our larger potential.

As a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) my services are covered under various health insurance plans. Please speak with your health insurance provider to discuss your coverage.

As per the rate recommended by the Psychologist’s Association of Alberta (PAA) individual counselling sessions are $190/session. In certain situations a sliding scale may be available ($160-$190).
